Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire
Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological
disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive
waste. This represents a major multi-billion-pound national
infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the
Nuclear Decommissioning Authority which is responsible under the Energy Act
2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites
including the management of radioactive waste.
As part of the transition into delivering on RWM’s programme of activities, we require a capable Events Manager to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in programme managing the planning and delivering of events for RWM to engage the general public (including potential host communities for the GDF), as well as stakeholders, including technical experts, opinion formers and concerned citizens.
In a vitally important role, you will lead the programme development and logistical organisation of events for RWM as its sensitive and complex work proceeds. Safeguarding that RWM’s core messages are communicated consistently and its reputation enhanced, you will ensure that all events are managed to the highest standards. You will oversee the effective and efficient arrangements of suitable venues, resources, communicating with delegates/attendees as well as organising and supporting participants from RWM as required.
Please contact us if you have the skills and commitment to help deliver this essential national project with the full engagement of all parties.
